2018 Front Porch Looking Great

We have had so much rain and sun this year and everything is growing. Here is an update of our front porch.

What I cannot believe this year is the clematis.  I have had it for ten years and this year is the first that it has grown so much and got bushier.

This year I bought two more large pots, but they are turquoise. I have white geraniums in them. The other pots have impatiens in them of various colors. I do love wind chimes. I have them on the front and back porch and even one in our bedroom. I can never get enough of them.

That is an angel wind chime hanging on the corner of the house. I will take  pictures one day and post  all the different ones I have. Still wanting more too.

Of course here is Hubby's garden bed, growing so much and looking so pretty.

I heard that the problems with the comments is a blogger thing and not one of their changes. They know about it and working on it. I am so glad to hear that. I love receiving the comments in my email so I can reply directly to you all instead of replying to them on the blog post. I know that so many of you, me included, post a comment, but do not return to see if was replied to.

Until next time take care.

  3. Your Clematis is growing beautifully, isn't it. Love the purple flowers. Your porch looks so pretty with the potted plants and the sweet swinging porch seat. That would be a lovely spot to sit in the warm weather, with the wind chimes making music above.

    1. Thanks Kim. I am better at growing flowers in pots than in the ground. I spend a lot of time on the porch.

  5. Hi Betty, your home and garden are so neat and tidy, you must think mine is a jungle, LOL. Love the porch swing, I'll just bet you enjoy sitting out there in the cool of the evening. I planted a clematis four years ago and put chicken wire around my porch light-post for it to climb. Every year I have someone ask me what the chicken wire is for, because it never grew, until this year. It didn't grow as tall as yours, but it did grow some and had a few gorgeous blossoms. Maybe the roots have finally gotten established on our plants and we'll both have lovely plants from now on. I hope so.
Have a happy summer and I do hope your weather cools off for you.
    Connie :)

  8. Your garden, porch and flowers all look so nice and neat. Mine, I just throw this and that here and there and it works for me. I find things at Goodwill that I pick up to add to my gardens, like plates! Have a great day. Found you through Nana Diannes Blog.
